Before you submit your Application
Before enrolling in any VIT course, please make sure you are aware of the course content, duration and mode of delivery. If you do not have this information, then it can be obtained by emailing [email protected]
Ensure that the application form has been fully completed and signed and all course entry requirement documents have been provided.
For International Students these may include: English proficiency documentation (IELTS), Academic transcript, and a copy of your passport.
For Domestic Students’ Professional Development and Short Courses, these may include: ID (Identification such as Birth Certificate, Passport, Driver’s Licence and/or Australian Citizen Certificate)
For Domestic Full Course Students these may include: ID and Academic Records
Upon receipt of your application you will be sent a letter of offer, detailing total course costs, course duration and course details. For International Students this will be sent to you or your education agent via email and will include a copy of the Enrolment Acceptance.
If your application is approved and you accept the offer you must submit the Enrolment Acceptance to VIT. Once VIT receives the signed Enrolment Acceptance it will accept payment (via bank draft or electronic transfer) and confirm your enrolment.
If the submission documentation is incomplete your application will not be processed and you (or your education agent) will be contacted for the required information.

Make sure you already have your Unique Student Identifier (USI)
A USI number is a government requirement for persons enrolling into a qualification. A USI can be obtained free of charge at: https://www.usi.gov.au/your-usi/create-usi
Note: Your USI from 2021 will be your reference number for FEE-HELP.
Offer letters (Two types: conditional & unconditional)
If we receive all of the supporting document’s, VIT will issue an unconditional offer. If any documents are missing, we will offer a conditional offer highlighting what documents are missing from your application.
5. Credits and Recognition of Prior Learning
Students may be eligible to have their past studies and/or work experience count as a credit towards their VIT qualification. This means that students applying for credit could be exempt from some of the units listed in the relevant course and be able to complete their qualification in a shorter time frame.

If you are a current Victorian Year 12 student looking to commence your studies in a February or March intake, you will need to lodge an application with VTAC. The VTAC application system allows you to list your selected VIT course as a preference. VTAC offers are issued December – February. VTAC Website: www.vtac.edu.au
